DECEMBER 2007: Poultry keeping experts at The Domestic Fowl Trust are running monthlypoultry keeping courses during 2008, telling beginners all they need toknow to get started.

The days, starting on January 22, include an introduction to housing, disinfection and bio-security, advice on how to choose your birds and keep laying hens happy, information on feed, supplements and remedies and a practical session showing how to catch and handle birds. Courses are run by DFT managing director and registered vet Bernie Landshoff and take place at the Domestic Fowl Trust premises in Honeybourne near Evesham, Worcestershire.Courses cost £50 per person including lunch.
