Lewana Castle, from Canterbury, tells us about a great idea for a chicken run – under a trampoline!
“I’m always asking my husband, Malcolm, to make me new runs to accommodate my expanding flock, so when the trampoline springs were no longer up to our kids’ extreme bouncing I saw the perfect use for it.
“We can push the chicken house, which is on wheels, lift the 8ft run it has with it, put on a small connecting tunnel, and can easily move and slot the trampoline run onto it. “It keeps my hens protected from heavy rain, snow, sun and predators, a great boon in winter and fresh grass when we choose.”
