A table bird that is reasonably easy to tame

The Dorking (also known as the Darking) is one of the oldest British table breeds, having a lineage dating back to Roman times. Distinguished by its five toes, this bird has been described as quiet and stately and is recognisable by its rectangular shape when viewed from the side. Colours include cuckoo, dark, red, silver grey and white. Needing a fair amount of exercise to prevent them from becoming fat, these birds are easily influenced by improper handling but with care can become relatively tame.
