Over the course of two workshop slots and a session on their stand, Elanco will present its summer Access to Knowledge (A2K) event ‘The Parasight game: putting theory into practice’ live to audiences at this year’s NSA Sheep Event.
During the two immersive workshops, the Elanco team will be joined by Ben Strugnell of Farm Postmortems and focus on worm control and resistance.
Matt Colston, Elanco technical consultant, explains the session will provide a demonstration to help visitors visualise why worms become resistant and the impact this has on flocks.
“You may not be able to physically see worms in your flock, but if not managed well, they’ll almost certainly be impacting growth rates and therefore productivity,” he says.
Mr Strugnell will also share insights into what he sees in postmortem examinations as a result of poorly managed resistant worm burdens.
“We hope that farmers will leave our sessions with simple take-home tips and advice that can help make a marked improvement on their bottom line,” says Mr Colston.

Live Sheep Game demo
At midday, The Sheep Game’s Cammy Wilson will join Ben Strugnell on the Elanco stand 206 for a live discussion on the practicalities of parasite control in sheep flocks, and the common pitfalls to avoid.
Correct use of products is one key factor that is often overlooked, and this session will include practical demonstrations of how best to use and apply parasite control products.
There will also be a chance to ask Cammy and the team any questions .
