Following active surveillance in the Norfolk Temporary Control Zone (TCZ), the Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) reports that a further case of bluetongue has been identified in a cow that has been grazing near St Olaves, Norfolk.
Movement restrictions continue to apply to cattle, sheep, camelids and other ruminants in the Zones so please check the Bluetongue interactive map for details.
This brings the total number of cases to 53. The APHA says there is currently still no evidence that bluetongue virus is currently circulating in midges in Great Britain. Surveillance is ongoing.
