Phase Worldwide’s Start Strong UK Aid Match Appeal raises money to support women & their children small-scale farming in Nepal

PHASE WORLDWIDE has launched its Stagrt Strong UK Aid Match Appeal, which is raising money to support 1,000 women and their children in Nepal, with a focus on small-scale farming. The appeal will fund a three-year project, starting in October 2021, that will increase the availability of high-value foods and improve maternal healthcare. The project will work closely with women, improving their agricultural practices to increase diet diversification and reduce malnutrition within their community.

“By supporting female farmers and providing them with access to training and materials, the Start Strong Project will ensure that all mothers, regardless of where they live, can give their children a strong start to life,” said PHASE’s Tom Edwards.

PHASE Worldwide was set up around a kitchen table in 2005 by a group of friends with a love of Nepal. Together they wanted to start a charity that focused on supporting projects in health, education and livelihoods. Since then, this Bristol based charity has raised millions of pounds, and each year helps to change the lives of 50,000 people.

Until 25 June, all donations made towards the Start Strong Appeal will be matched by the UK government, allowing PHASE Worldwide to double its impact.
