Quail keepers are invited to showcase their stock via a new, virtual Facebook event.
You don’t need to have previous show experience to enter, there are separate classes which cover all species of quail, egg classes and a group of classes solely for the younger generation of quail keepers! The show is not only a place for everyone to show off their quail, but it also gives breeders goals to aim for when it comes to breeding for specific colours/lines etc.
There are multiple classes per category, categories include Coturnix, Chinese Painted, AOS (Any other species excl. Coturnix & Chinese Painted), Eggs & Youth. Entrants can submit their entries by uploading photos directly into the photo albums created for each specific class via the Facebook group “The Virtual British Quail Show”.
Entries opened 1st February and close midnight 29th March, followed by 3 days of judging over Easter weekend. 30th/31st March class judging will take place, then on the 1st April Champion & Reserve Champion judging will take place.
Everyone who is placed 1st, 2nd & 3rd will receive a ribbon & prize card, with class sponsors offering hatching eggs too.
Champions will receive a personalised rosette, prize card, hatching eggs & a cash prize.
Reserve Champions will receive a personalised rosette & prize card.
The 2024 show has kindly been offered sponsorship from the following:

The show is all based via the Facebook group, so everyone can join throughout the whole of the UK!
