The Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) reports that bird flu, also known as highly pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) H5N1, was confirmed in commercial poultry on 14 February 2024 at a premises near Hutton Cranswick, East Yorkshire.
A 3km protection zone and a 10km surveillance zone have been declared around the premises.
All bird keepers must be vigilant and follow stringent biosecurity measures to prevent future outbreaks. More information is available on GOV.UK.
