JUNE 29, 2009: Smallholders struggling during the credit crunch have an opportunity to get expert help – and be featured in a BBC TV programme.

BBC researchers are looking for people who have left City jobs, have set up smallholdings and are in difficulties at present due to the recession or are finding it difficult to cope. The programme will offer practical help from expert presenters to help turn the business around to give it more long term sustainability, with new ideas and techniques on how to diversify. A BBC spokesman said: “The series will be warm and inspirational and explore the realities of surviving in the countryside.” Anyone interested should contact Raj Ram, e-mail Raj.Jam@bbc.co.uk or call him on 07932 606 978 as soon as possible.
