FEB 13, 2012: Country Smallholding writer Victoria Roberts will be one of the experts at a special smallholding marquee at the The Edible Garden Show at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, from March 16-18.

Victoria will be be giving advice about chickens in the smallholder marquee, which will also include pigs, goats and sheep. The EGS has been voted Most Popular Garden Event of the Year ahead of established fixtures such as The RHS Chelsea Flower Show and Gardeners World Live. The show’s events director Bev Channell said: “The Edible Garden Show was created to give the millions of grow-your-own enthusiasts their own dedicated national event and it has really caught the imagination of the public. “We had nearly 11,000 visitors to our inaugural show in March and we expect an even bigger audience for 2012. “Our ticket sales are also going really well and our advice to exhibitors and visitors alike is to book early to avoid disappointment.” The show brings together key experts and innovative exhibitors from the worlds of gardening, home produce and food in a one-stop shop for those wanting a slice of the ‘good life’. There will be advice in spades from celebrity gardeners, chefs, growers and livestock experts. From bees, chickens, goats and pigs to seeds, sheds, wellies and wormeries – there is something for everyone. MORE: www.theediblegardenshow.co.uk
