FEBRUARY 27, 2010: A new smallholding fair is to be hosted by The National Trust at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent.

The event will be held on August 21 and 22 and, as well as stalls, produce sales and demonstrations, there will talks by expert speakers on a wide range of topics, from hen heeping for beginners to organic farming principles. Sissinghurst Castle, near Cranbrook, is a world famous garden, once the home of novelist Vita Sackville-West, and nestles in a Wealden Farm which will form a backdrop to the fair. Stallholders are now being sought for the event. MORE:?Email: sissinghurst@nationaltrust.org.uk SHOW?GUIDE:?See the April issue of Country Smallholding for a comprehensive show guide.
