MAY 1, 2009: A network promoting businesses in the countryside is calling for more smallholders to join the organisation.
The National Farm Attraction Network is the only independent national co-operative organisation for leisure and tourism attraction businesses in the countryside. It is inviting farmers and smallholders who are offering services and products to become members. Members receive support by way of an advice helpline on a wide range of issues specific to their businesses including planning, business rates, legal and financial matters, marketing, quality assurance and accreditation. NFAN holds its Annual Conference and Trade Exhibition in the first week of February every year. This year’s conference was very successful both for delegate and trade exhibitors. NFAN also holds Farm Attraction of the Year Awards, with winners receiving their awards at the conference. Trade membership is for companies who provide a product or service to the farm/attraction members. They can advertise and promote their products to members via the website, newsletters, flyers and emails. Spokeswoman Sarah Althorpe said: “Our objective is to promote all countryside attractions and give support to our members in establishing, running and expansion of their attraction businesses.” For further information or to join NFAN contact Sarah Althorpe on 01536 513397 email: info@farmattractions.net or visit www.farmattractions.net
