The Animal & Plant Health Agency reports that four further cases of bird flu, also known as highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1), have been confirmed in England and Scotland.

As various restrictions now apply, bird keepers are urged to check www.gov.uk/bird-flu and www.gov.scot/birdflu for the latest information about the following new cases:

  • a premises near Tankerness, Orkney Islands
  • a premises near Leigh Sinton, Malvern Hills, Worcestershire
  • a second premises near Wymondham, South Norfolk, Norfolk
  • a premises near Hingham, South Norfolk, Norfolk.
