The Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) reports that two further cases of bird flu, officially known as highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1) have been confirmed in Scotland.

As various restrictions now apply, please check GOV.SCOT: https://www.gov.scot/publications/avian-influenza-outbreaks/ for the latest information about the following new cases:

·     a premises near Tingwall, Shetland Islands

·     a second premises in Lower Barvas, Isle of Lewis

Definitive requirements are set out in the published declarations for each disease control zone currently in force. More information is available on GOV.SCOT.
