Bird flu confirmed at premises near Cranbrook, East Devon

The Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) reports that bird flu – highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 – was confirmed in commercial poultry on 29 November 2023 at a premises near Cranbrook, East Devon, (AIV 2023/58). A 3km protection zone and a 10km surveillance zone have been declared around the premises.

All bird keepers should remain vigilant and follow stringent biosecurity measures to prevent future outbreaks. More information is available on GOV.​UK: https://www.gov.uk/bird-flu.
