Kate will write about the making of the popular BBC 2 programme.Kate said: “No one is more taken aback by the success of Lambing Live than me. I have to confess, when I was first approached to present this new live show back in 2010, I thought it was a terrible idea. Fine perhaps, I thought, for a one-off programme – a nice way to herald the coming of spring, but the BBC wanted four programmes on consecutive nights. What, I wondered, could we possibly do to fill five hours of television from a lambing shed? It just shows how little I knew about sheep…”In our Lambing Special we also feature a student of Kate’s at the lambing course held at her own farm, Lambing 24, as well as advice from sheep expert Tim Tyne and case studies from some of Tim’s students.
