Can I feed just corn or wheat to my laying hens, as feed is getting very expensive?

Grant Brereton says: The correct diet is key to get maximum egg production. If you only feed wheat or corn, egg production will decline and, in some cases, may stop all together. The main feed needs to be a good quality layers’ pellet. This will contain all the ingredients needed to give the birds everything they need to produce the maximum amount of eggs.
