SEPT 18, 2009: A new range of one-day smallholding courses for complete beginners is being offered in Gloucestershire.

Husband and wife team Simon and Jules Moore, at Mumbleys Farmhouse, near Thornbury, offer: Bees for Beginners, Starting with Hens and Ducks, Sheep For Beginners and Smallholder Taster Days. Courses include a hands-on session with the animals and a home-cooked lunch. The thriving smallholding of four small paddocks a wildflower meadow, a productive vegetable patch and a terraced garden.
