The ‘three Ps’ of people, profit and planet are the watchwords underpinning the central discussions at Da Byw 2025, taking place on 13th and 14th June.
The fourth Sustainable Livestock Farming Festival will again be held at Coed Coch, Dolwen, ten miles from the North Wales coast, where speakers from across the world will gather to share ideas and experiences.
Leading politicians, including Welsh Government Deputy First Minister, Huw Irranca-Davies, will debate the Future of Welsh Farming at the conference, which will also feature how changes to livestock practices can significantly improve environmental, social and economic sustainability, demonstrating the rewards current practitioners of regenerative farming are reaping from a more sustainable, holistic approach.
Organiser, Davina Fetherstonhaugh, said “We want to spread the word that farming with nature really can be profitable.
“We want to persuade politicians to put public money, our money, behind us in a sensible way and we want to keep generations of knowledge and traditions alive and well in Welsh communities.”
Coed Coch is the home of Davina and Harry Fetherstonhaugh OBE FRAgS, former RWAS President. He was Royal Welsh Show Honorary Show Director for 25 years and is this year’s winner of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations (ASAO) Lifetime Achievement Award.
