The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) urges keepers of cattle, sheep, camelids and other ruminants to remain vigilant. Bluetongue is a notifiable disease and must be reported by law. Livestock keepers are not permitted to move any animal showing these clinical signs and if you see any of these signs you must report it to APHA. Follow the restrictions on animal and germinal product movements that apply.
Animals in the Restricted Zone must only be moved where it’s absolutely necessary.
More information on the restrictions and licences that apply is available on GOV.UK.
Information about BTV-3 vaccinations is also available onGOV.UK.
Useful BTV-3 related guidance is also available on the AHDB website
Livestock keepers are advised to check the Bluetongue interactive map and GOV.UK for more information.
