Showcasing rural skills and knowledge, both past and present, is an important part of the Royal Cornwall Show (8, 9, 10 June 2023), so much so, that there will be a whole area dedicated to it.
The Countryside Village is the place to be if you want to check out the traditional knowledge and expertise that shapes the Cornwall region.
Spanning across two demonstration rings – the Creative View Limited Countryside Village Ring, and the lake Demo Ring, there are plenty of informative displays to take in across all three days of the Show.
You can hear about interesting skills, such as learning how to enjoy the waves by paddleboarding with Paddle Cornwall Encounters, and experience how gundogs play an integral part in the agricultural industry with the Cornwall Field TrialSociety.
There’s also plenty of fun for children, including the thrill of ferret racing, and seeing incredible birds of prey as part of the falconry display.
Our equine friends also take centre stage, the incredible horses of Portugal and Spain put on extra performances and a walk through of their work with the Iberian Show Tour Team.
Both demo Rings are located at the West end of the showground, near the lake, and have a full daily schedule, so be sure to pop over and enjoy the spectacle.
